Was far from shore, within the depths of oceans swirling
Bitter cold the water that assailed ‘round about
This skeleton wrapped in skin with heart yet beating
Was sinking to not ever rise again
Such hard thoughts… if only I had loved more, had shown it
Was plunging deep within the strongholds of
That area of sunken land between the continents making
Planet earth for what it is, a ball hung in space comprised of realms
The whirling maelstroms soon to overshadow with its power
Hope was just about gone
Then it was a hand from somewhere
Reaching down into that churning foaming froth
When warmth of a touch was felt, was no longer alone
Had rescued came or rather sorrow upon sorrowed just conceived
Were both to be pulled, ripped asunder from all the undercurrents
That ravishously were feeding, searching for more their prey
